Dr. Alan Barbieri has practiced in South Carolina since 1978. He attended Colgate University and received his dental degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He graduated number one in his class and was named to the National Dental Honor Society. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Barbieri returned to Fairleigh Dickinson University to study orthodontics. He graduated in 1969 with a Master's Degree in Orthodontics and was again at the top of his class. Dr. Barbieri is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an accomplishment achieved by less that 20% of the orthodontists in South Carolina. Dr. Barbieri is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists and the Southern Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Barbieri and his wife, Betty, have three married children and six grandchildren.

Dr. Barbieri is a highly qualified dentist who has successfully completed South Carolina Orthodontic Specialty Board Examination. Dr. Barbieri is extremely concerned with the standards he maintains and is constantly engaged in postgraduate education to ensure that he stays abreast of the latest developments and newest techniques in orthodontics.
