Dr. Denise Swasty
Dr. Denise Swasty’s journey has brought her from New England to the West Coast and finally to the South in search of the perfect location and orthodontic practice for her and her husband to settle down in and raise a family. She has at last found that with The Smile Team and the caring people in this family-based community here in South Carolina.
Her undergraduate degree was earned at the University of Connecticut. She then received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating Summa Cum Laude, followed by her Master of Science in Orthodontics degree from the University of California at San Francisco. Since graduating from residency, she has spent two years in Matthews, North Carolina practicing orthodontics. Dr. Swasty is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Society, Southern Association of Orthodontics and is also a Certified Invisalign® Provider.
Dr. Swasty is trained in the latest techniques, including temporary implant placement, three-dimensional facial imaging and laser technology. She is a Board Certified Orthodontist who attends several continuing education courses each year to maintain a state-of-the-art practice.
Dr. Swasty, her husband, Matthew, and their son, Tristen, enjoy outdoor activities such as kayaking, canoeing, biking and camping. They are very excited to be part of The Smile Team in the beautiful communities of Summerville and Mt. Pleasant. They look forward to becoming an active part of each community.
