Dr. Denise Swasty
Dr. Denise Swasty’s journey has taken her from New England to the West Coast and ultimately led her to South Carolina where she and her husband found a great location to settle down and raise a family. With the team at Swasty Orthodontics and the family-based community here, she found the perfect place to call home.
After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut, she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Swasty then headed out west to earn her Master of Science in Orthodontics degree from the University of California at San Francisco. Upon graduating from residency, she spent two years in Matthews, North Carolina practicing orthodontics until taking over Dr. Alan Barbieri’s practice in 2008.
Dr. Swasty is trained in the latest techniques, including temporary implant placement, three-dimensional facial imaging, and laser technology. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Society, Southern Association of Orthodontics, and is also a Certified Invisalign® Provider. As a Board Certified Orthodontist, she attends several continuing education courses each year to maintain a state-of-the-art practice.
Denise, her husband Matt along with their son Tristen enjoy outdoor activities including kayaking, canoeing, biking and camping. They are very excited to enjoy family life and continuing to be involved in the beautiful communities of Summerville and Hanahan.
